The Christmas Hash is without doubt best fun club running event of the year. It is for runners of all speeds and all degrees of festive unfitness.
It is a multi terrain trail marked out with blobs of flour. The blobs are deliberately laid to give real and false trails. Those who run too fast use up their surplus energy sorting out where the real trail goes, allowing those of a more leisurely pace to catch up.
This year another exciting course has been planned which will give many people a taste of wonderful parts of the local landscape they never know existed.
The course is being organised by Joanne Lumb and will start at 10.00 Friday 27 December at the Hullavington Arms; the Pub she runs with her husband.
He will do a special ‘Hash’ lunch and mulled cider to make the end of the trail worth waiting for!! Numbers for food will need to be known so they can work it in with other bookings but there should be an option to take a few more on the day too. Please phone them as soon as you know you want to eat
