Kit FAQs

Do I need to be selected for a team to wear a Team Bath AC vest?
No. You do not need to be selected for a team. Each, every and all TBAC members should wear Team Bath AC vests or crop tops; certainly when running in a race, and optionally whenever else.

Do I need to be an elite athlete to wear a Team Bath AC vest?
No. You do not need to be an elite athlete. Each, every and all TBAC members should wear Team Bath AC vests.

Do I need to wear a Team Bath AC vest at an event?
Yes. You should always wear a club vest at an event. Some competitions will not count an athlete or runner not wearing their club vest (so, for example, a no-vest would not count for a team prize; the London Marathon is an example). Also, at some regional county events you can be disqualified if you are not wearing the vest of the club you entered under. When you enter an event you should give your team as “Team Bath AC”.

What other events should I wear my Team Bath AC vest?

At all club run and open meetings you should wear your Team Bath vest, unless you are representing your School, County or Country. If you are competing in the Wiltshire Schools, Somerset Schools, Gloucestershire Schools or Avon Schools county championships then you will probably be representing a region of those areas and will need to wear their colours or kit (if they have them). You may also wear your school PE kit, or the county colours if you have represented at a higher level previously. Failing that, your Team Bath AC vest can be worn.

Team Bath AC colours should be worn if entering the South West Intercounty Championships as an individual competitor (i.e. not selected by local county).

What should I buy from RunningBath?
Team Bath AC club vests and crop tops.

What should I buy from pbteamwear*?
everything else: fleeces, hoodies, soft shell, training Tees, back packs, kit bags and hats.

Is it only adult kit?
No. There is kit for juniors too.

Does pbteamwear* have a returns policy?
Yes, and it is restrictive: kit from pbteamwear* cannot be returned for refund or exchange. Be sure to use the size charts prior to order. Consider checking whether another TBAC member has something from pbteamwear that you can try on for size before you order.

Can I buy Team Bath AC kit from the university shop?
No. It is confusing, but there is a distinction (for historical reasons) between the university-based TEAMBATH teams, and the independent Team Bath AC athletics club. You need to buy Team Bath AC. Don’t buy TEAMBATH gear. When you enter an event you should give your team as “Team Bath AC”.

What about shorts?

Team Bath AC do not have an official shorts supplier however official colours are black or plain blue (matching the vest) with logo smaller than 20mm in size. In many competitions the logos may also need to be covered with tape or similar. Large logos or incorrect colours can be taken as incorrect kit under UKA rules and therefore may result in disqualification from events by officials. County colours will vary by county and can he found from the relevant county website.

Why are there different kits shown in the pictures and reports on this website?

The official Team Bath AC kit is Blue & Yellow, however there are various kits used by the athletes at Team Bath depending on the competition they are taking part in, but as a general rule:

All opens, Avon League, YDL Lower Age Group (U13/U15), Quad Kids, County Competitions you would wear the Team Bath AC colours (Blue body with Yellow side panels). This also would include Marathons, Park Runs, and team stage relay events. Vests are purchased from the Team Bath AC kit supplier – RunningBath.

YDL Upper Age Group – Composite Team Avon. You would wear Team Avon colours (burgundy vest with two diagonal yellow stripes). These can be purchased or loaned from the YDL Team Manager at the event.

Representing your county at SW Championships or Schools – the kit colours will depend on the county represented. For example Wiltshire have Green vest with two white diagonal stripes, Avon have light blue vest, etc. Normally this is purchased at the event or via the relevant County website.
